Caregiver Support Groups

Being a caregiver is both rewarding and challenging, and having a supportive community can make all the difference. Our Caregiving Support Groups are designed to provide a space where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and find encouragement.

These groups are a safe and welcoming space for caregivers of neurodivergent children to come together, share their stories, and receive support. Whether you're seeking practical advice, emotional support, or simply a place to connect with others who understand your journey, our groups are here to help. Facilitated by a compassionate peer with lived experience, each session offers a chance to engage in open, honest conversations about the challenges and joys of caregiving.

Caregiving can sometimes feel isolating, and it’s easy to forget that you’re not alone. Our support groups offer a sense of community and connection with others who truly understand the ups and downs of caregiving. They provide a space where you can share tips, ask questions, and find reassurance in knowing you’re not navigating this path by yourself.

Through these groups, we hope to empower caregivers with the tools, resources, and emotional support they need to take care of themselves while continuing to care for their loved ones.

Raising Resilience

Coming Soon

Parenting a child with challenging behaviours can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Our Parent Support Group provides a safe, supportive space for parents to share experiences, gain practical strategies, and connect with others navigating similar challenges.

Led by a facilitator with expertise in neurodivergent care, this group focuses on fostering positive behaviours, improving communication, and supporting parents in their journey. Together, we’ll explore techniques for managing challenging behaviour, build resilience, and strengthen our parenting toolkit.

Join us to find support, share your story, and learn new strategies for creating a calmer, more positive environment for your child and family. Open to parents and caregivers of children aged 4-17.

Caregiving doesn't stop when your child becomes a teenager or young adult—but the challenges often evolve in new ways. Our Caregiver Support Group for Parents of Teens & Young Adults offers a space where you can connect with other caregivers, share your experiences, and receive guidance as you navigate the complexities of raising neurodivergent teens and young adults.

This group is designed for caregivers who are supporting neurodivergent teens and young adults (ages 13-25). As your child transitions into adolescence and adulthood, you may face new challenges—whether it’s supporting independence, managing social relationships, or preparing for life after high school. This group provides a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss these challenges, share strategies, and learn from others who understand your journey.

Respite Services

At Neuro-Collective, we know how important it is for parents and caregivers to take care of themselves too. Respite care is a vital service that gives you the opportunity to rest, recharge, and focus on your own well-being—without the stress of worrying about your child’s care.

What does respite care look like?
It can take many forms! Our respite care services include group and 1:1 support. Whether you need a few hours to run errands, take a break, or enjoy some quiet time, we're here to provide that safe and supportive space for your child to thrive.

Why is respite care so important?
Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Taking time for yourself helps you stay healthy, energized, and ready to give your best to your family. Respite care is not just a break—it's a way to make sure both you and your child feel supported, nurtured, and cared for.

Group Respite

Our Group Respite Program is designed to give both parents and children a chance to relax and recharge in a supportive, fun, and safe environment.

While parents enjoy some well-deserved time off, children can participate in engaging activities tailored to their needs, all under the care of trained staff and volunteers. Children in our group respite program will enjoy a range of sensory-friendly activities, peer interactions, and playtime in a welcoming space. Whether it’s exploring our sensory spaces, creating something in an art corner, or playing games with others, every child’s experience is designed to be enjoyable and fulfilling.

Our staff ensures that each child is supported according to their unique needs, creating a positive and relaxed environment for all.

Individual
Respite

Our 1:1 Respite Care program offers personalized, one-on-one support for your child, allowing them to have a fulfilling, safe, and engaging experience while you take time for yourself.

Each child is paired with a trained staff member or volunteer who is specifically matched to meet their individual needs and interests. This program is ideal for families who need extra support or prefer a more personalized, private experience for their child. It’s also perfect for children who may benefit from a quieter, more focused environment. While your child enjoys their time with a compassionate, attentive caregiver, you can take the time you need to recharge, knowing your child is in good hands.

With flexible scheduling, 1:1 Respite Care is designed to meet your family’s needs and provide you with the peace of mind you deserve.
